Business People Social Duty

TO MANKIND TO FULFILL THE DUTIES UNDER BUSINESS SOCIAL DUTY

How Corporates and business people can participate to build our nation into a developed India?

Corporates under Corporate Social Duty either individually or collectively with few business entities in each area can join together and form a Trust/NGO where they can contribute a small profits every month from their business into the Trust Bank Account and utilize the funds for any of the following purposes:

Education:

  • Construct/Renovate class rooms, toilets in poor government schools/colleges in backward or tribal villages.
  • To provide all equipments, instruments for physics,chemical, biology laboratory for the poor Government schools
  • Install smart classrooms in remote poor government schools to provide high quality international standard of education to the poor children and shape them into valuable asset.
  • Appoint qualified teachers in remote schools to provide spoken English and personality development training, softskill, computer and\ vocational training for poor children to shape them into valuable asset.

Employment:

  • To establish skill development training centres to provide.
  • Free job oriented/self employment training, coaching for preparation of competitive examination for jobs in UPSC, SSC, Railways, NDA, IMA, Banks exam etc.
  • To provide training to youth interested in sports/games/music/dance and shape them to qualify for state/regional/national/ international competitions.
  • Conduct sponsorship tournaments, contests at ward/panchayat level or regional/state/national/ in all kinds of sports/ games/ music/dance to the needy youth to shape their career as per their aspiration.
  • To start centres in cities/villages for women empowerment

Health:

  • To construct/renovate government hospitals, clinics in backward villages, with more beds, procure high standard medical equipments, medicines to provide international standard treatment freely to the poor and needy.
  • To conduct periodical medical camps in remote villages
  • To extend financial support for medical surgery and hospitalized treatment for poor for various ailments. Or
  • To carry on any other CSR activity as permitted under Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 either directly or through support to NGOs/ implementing agencies carrying on any of the following activities viz.
  • Eradicating hunger, poverty and malnutrition, promoting health care including preventive health] and sanitation Including contribution to the Swatch Bharat Kosh set-up by the Central Government for the promotion of sanitation] and making available safe drinking water.
  • Promoting education, including special education and employment enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly, and the differently abled and livelihood enhancement projects.
  • Promoting gender equality, empowering women, setting up homes and hostels for women and orphans; setting up old age homes, day care centres and such other facilities for senior citizens and measures for reducing inequalities faced by socially and economically backward groups.
  • Ensuring environmental sustainability, ecological balance, protection of flora and fauna, animal welfare, agroforestry, conservation of natural resources and maintaining quality of soil, air and water including contribution to the Clean Ganga Fund set-up by the Central Government for rejuvenation of river Ganga.
  • Protection of national heritage, art and culture including restoration of buildings and sites of historical importance and works of art; setting up public libraries; promotion and development of traditional arts and handicrafts.
  • Measures for the benefit of armed forces veterans, war widows and their dependents, 5 Central Armed Police Forces (CAPE) and Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) veterans, and their dependents including windows.
  • Training to promote rural sports, nationally recognised sports, paralympic sports and Olympic sports.
  • Contribution to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund or 6 [Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund) or] any other fund set up by the Central Government for socio-economic development and relief and welfare of the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, other backward classes, minorities and women.
  • Training to promote rural sports, nationally recognised sports, paralympic sports and Olympic sports.
  • (a) Contribution to incubators or research and development projects in the field of science, technology, engineering and medicine, funded by Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertaking or any agency of the Central Government or State Government.
  • (b) Contributions to public funded Universities; Indian Institute of Technology (IITs); National Laboratories and autonomous bodies established under Department of Atomic Energy (DAE); Department of Biotechnology (DBT); Department of Science and Technology (DST); Department of Pharmaceuticals; Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH); Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and other bodies, namely Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO); Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR); Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), engaged in conducting research in science, technology, engineering and medicine aimed at promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Rural development projects.
  • Slum area development. Explanation.— For the purposes of this item, the term ‘slum area’ shall mean any area declared as such by the Central Government or any State Government or any other competent authority under any law for the time being in force.
  • Disaster management, including relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction activities.

APPEAL:

Let us all Indians appeal to all corporates, business community to singly or as a group of business community form NGO and support for any of the above CSR activity and thus contribute for the economic development of the people to build a developed India.
